At Hardwick Clinic, Professor Anton Enright specialises in treating patients with skin laxity and visible signs of skin ageing using advanced energy-based devices. Alongside his clinical work, Professor Enright has an extensive academic background. He read Natural Sciences at Trinity College Dublin, specialising in Genetics, before completing his PhD at the University of Cambridge. His postdoctoral research was conducted at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he studied small RNAs such as microRNAs and their roles in cancer and other diseases.

Since 2018, his laboratory has been based at the Department of Pathology at the University of Cambridge, where he also serves as Academic Lead for the Genomics Facility, specialising in large-scale sequencing, microarrays, and genotyping.

Professor Enright is also a Fellow of Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge.

Research Expertise

Professor Anton Enright is a world-leading researcher in RNA biology at the University of Cambridge, specialising in non-coding RNAs, epitranscriptomics and computational genomics. He has led and contributed to major international projects investigating how RNA regulation and biochemical modifications influence cellular function and inflammation — mechanisms directly relevant to skin ageing, barrier repair, and regenerative aesthetics.
