Botox can be used to suppress activity of the sweat glands and is particularly useful underarm for axillary hyperhidrosis. The treatment is quick and lasts for 3-6 months.
High-Frequency Ultrasound (HiFu) is a relatively new treatment for excessive sweating (Hyperhidrosis). Here ultrasound pulses are delivered to the sweat glands directly to suppress their activity. The results from this treatment are long lasting (years) but multiple treatments (usually 2) will be required.
