Bruxism is a painful condition where one grinds one teeth unconciously, usually while sleeping. This can cause discomfort to the jaw, can cause excessive muscle development on the face and significant problems for the teeth, gums and jawline. Teeth grinding and jaw clenching (also called bruxism) is often related to stress or anxiety. It does not always cause symptoms, but some people get facial pain and headaches, and it can wear down your teeth over time.
